Welcome and Thank you for joining me. I value your time and the interest you have in real estate. I truly believe real estate is the best industry for me to be in because I love helping people and making a difference in their lives. Giving the keys to a young couple after months of showing them homes and walking shoulder to shoulder with them through what would be the purchase of their first home and also my first transaction as a professional real estate broker would have to be what I would describe as the crescendo at the symphony. I was so nervous when we initially met on the phone and when they asked me how much experience I had, my first instinct was to be completely honest with them. I told them I had bought and sold property before on my own but that I was a newly licensed agent, but I assured them that I took this very seriously and that I would do everything in my power to help them in the search for their new home. They hesitated but could not help feel a type of connection with me. They appreciated my honesty and openness and they decided to give me a shot. I was determined to be the best agent they could have ever asked for. I read every word of every page of every contingency out loud over the phone with them explaining to them what it meant and why it was included in the contract. They tested me, and I passed. I gave them every opportunity to question me and when I didn't know the answer, I found someone who did, and I got it for them promptly. By the time we finally found the home for them, we had established more than a working relationship, we had become friends. I knew their family and they knew mine. I had told them about my childhood and they had shared with me their most precious goals and dreams to continue to grow and learn and to contribute in a meaningful way to the community. As I held the keys in my hand and waited for them at the home they had purchased, I couldn't help but look at the house and imagine all the beautiful experiences they would inevitably have in their new home, the meals they would share, the family gatherings they would surely have and the celebrations they would enjoy. No doubt they would experience some hardships and shed some tears, but it would all happen inside of those walls. When I pondered the idea that I had the privilege of aiding them in even a miniscule way to achieve ownership of the home that would become the setting for all these events to take place, I felt honored and very satisfied that I could provide such a service. That is when I knew for certain that handing the keys to the new owners of a home was my favorite part of my new career. Making a difference for the better in a person's life. That's a good day's work.
